From Ayamonte to Tarifa,
from the delta of the Guadiana up to the street of Gibraltar pulls itself in sickle form
"La Costa de la Luz",
the coast of the light, with its endless, fine sandy beaches lined of pine woods.
It is the coast of the west part of andaluz, the provinces Huelva and Cádiz, the gate to America, here-longed since Tartessos - before 3000 years - until today. Also nowadays, humans are searching for a mild climate, a rustic landscape, with its
delightful architectural monuments
and the poverty, the charm of the Andalusian population.
The coast of the light is sand and lime. Before they reach the sea, the rivers distribute themselves on several arms, into the salt sumps, the "esteros", and salt gardens water blend with the country. The name given to this penetrating light coast, comes from the lightning-bright roads,
the white painted walls,
the gold-resplendent dunes and the silver reflex of the sea, the only grey tone in this color-glad country.
Up the country one finds varied landscapes with wild Sierras, fruitful landed properties, pastureland and
wild bulls,
world-famous wine gardens and hidden localities further, where the time without haste passes. Spring brings a flower sea, innumerable celebrations and "romerías" festive-religious trips. The winter is mild and sunny and receive millions of migratory birds.
