The Costa del Azahar
(coast of the orange blossom) is the lesser known and relatively underdeveloped region lying to the south of the Costa Dorada. It extends down to
Valencia
and beyond to Gandia. The many groves of
orange trees
spread over its mainly flat coastal terrain give it its name but further inland arise many dry, wild mountains. Warm clear waters lapping flat, sandy,
uncrowded beaches
make this a very attractive coastline. He province of Castellon has an amazing 120km of coastline between Tarragona and Valencia with some of the finest beaches in Spain.
